Thursday, August 30, 2012

Hey lovelies! It's another fabulous Friday...which means some fabulous fashion! I just came across these awesome photos with model Coco Rocha. I think they're totally adorable, don't you?

I love her dark plummy lipstick and that last photo is my favorite. I want that entire outfit from her tippy toes to her perfectly coiffed hair...tres sassy!

September here we come!!

 The kilt is a knee-length garment with pleats at the rear, originating in the traditional dress of men and boys in the Scottish Highlands of the 16th century. Since the 19th century it has become associated with the wider culture of Scotland in general, or with Celtic (and more specifically Gaelic) heritage even more broadly. It is most often made of woollen cloth in a tartan pattern.

The word kilt comes from the Scots word kilt meaning to tuck up the clothes around the body, although the 11th edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica(vol. 15, p. 798) says the word is Scandinavian in origin. The Scots word derives from the Old Norse kjalta,[1] from Norse settlers who wore a similar, pleated garment. via wikipedia

"Not the bee upon the blossom,
In the pride o' sunny noon;
Not the little sporting fairy,
All beneath the simmer moon;
Not the poet, in the moment
Fancy lightens in his e'e,
Kens the pleasure, feels the rapture,
That thy presence gi'es to me."
— Robert Burns

Hope you liked this little fantasy fashion daydream...I bet you want to go get some fabulous fashion in plaid right now and play dress up or even better you're practicing your Scottish accent...ah-ha, I knew it! You do it too...."lassie"... *dimple*
