REVIEW ♥ Japan Fun Box ♥

Monday, August 1, 2016

I'm a big fan of candies and foods from Japan. They're so unique and always so tasty so I squealed in excitement when I got to try this fun little box called Japan Fun Box. Look how cute their shipping box is. You can choose between three different sized boxes ranging from $15 to $50...Mini, Original and Family. Mine is the mini which comes with 5-7 yummies to nibble on. They even have free shipping worldwide and who doesn't love free shipping?

It comes with an info card that tells you all about the snacks and treats inside the box you get as well as the Original box too. I kind of got really excited when I saw all the listings on there, especially the Almond Pocky (I LOVE Pocky!) haha, and then realized that my goodies only consisted of the left side and there was no Pocky. *sad pout* But there were some delicious treats in there that I couldn't wait to eat! Look below! That's everything that came in the box.

These are potato chips that taste like pepperoni pizza! and they really do!!
I quite enjoyed these and they were one of my favorites in the box.

These next up are my favorite of all the treats. They're called Pretz Tomato Taste. They're like bread sticks and pretzels and literally have a tomato-y? taste to them. So good!

Grape whistle candy! I've had these before in strawberry and they're so good. They even come with a little toy in a box on the bottom and you can actually whistle with it by blowing through the hole in the candy. I kid you not! hahaha...

These were interesting. Not really my favorite. I didn't like the flavor. They're called Ume-pachi and it crackles and bursts in your mouth with a sour plum taste.

No, this is not a cheese stick but it kind of looks like it, doesn't it? Ha!  It's called Shuwabo. a soft candy that tastes like lemon and orange and it has bubbly powder on the inside that when combined with the candy creates a coke flavor. Pretty neat. I liked it.

And finally, something chocolaty! These are called Alfort which are bite sized biscuits covered in milk chocolate. Mine came melted partially but that didn't stop me from eating it! These were yummy! I love the ship embossed on the chocolate.

So what do you think? Anything you think you'd like? You should totally check out their website and see if you might want to try one of their cute little boxes. I'm hooked!! *wink*

Just the whole AESTHETIC of glitter, shimmery makeup, pastels, long flowing hair with a touch of magic...I love it!! And that is what this editorial is all about.

I love seeing the editorials that Ellen Von Unwerth puts together...they're always so rich in color and full of whimsy like the one below she did for vogue japan. Is it just me or is there just a little bit of an 80's vibes going on here? That pink EYE SHADOW is sooo me!

Her hair in this photo!!! Magical!!! and the lace on the dress is heavenly.

this definitely is giving me an 80'S VIBES feeling. Am I right?
The dreamy quality of these photos is so lovely. Makes me want to get all dressed up in fairy attire and have a fairy tea party somewhere magical.

she actually looks like a fairy mid flight! le sigh...
My favorites of the editorial are below.
I just can't get over the hair! Those pretty fairy waves!

Review & Giveaway ♥ Japan Candy Box: Cookies & Candies Oh My! ♥

Tuesday, January 19, 2016

Oh, boy! You are going to love this review beauties! So many delicious sweets, candies and even savory delights. Yummy!!  Look at all the delicious treats that came in my Japan Candy Box!! OMG. Seriously, so much drooling going on over here. Their candies over in Japan are so much more fun to eat...hahaha!! Japan Candy Box is actually a subscription box that you can get delivered to you every month for less than $20! You get anywhere from  8-10 candies, cookies, sweets, and even savory snacks too in each box. It's so much fun, peeps, you have to try these out. Look at all those goodies below!!!

So the first thing I tried were these cute little round biscuits in the cutest little packaging...I mean, look at that sweet elephant.  Aww..... These are called Takeda Tamago Boro Egg Cookies and they are soooooo darn tasty. Sweet and crunchy...they kind of reminded me of animal crackers. I loved these a lot.

Next up, were these Meiji Juice Gummies. Sweet little gummy candies shaped like a bunch of grapes...and that's what they tasted like...like white grapes! I liked these. I have always love gummy candies.

More cute packaging!  This cute little box had under the sea fishies, octopuses, sharks and more. Adorbs, yes? These are called Meiji Mini Candy Pack. They're little white candies...sweet and subtle. I think their flavor is Yoguret....Candy Coating with youghurt flavoured centres. I thought they were okay...not my favorite but I would definitely eat them!!

OMG. These are freaking amazing!! Puccho Mango Chewy Candy. The flavor!! True, dreamy, fruity, juicy, mangos!! By far, one of my favorites in this Japan Candy Box. You kind of suck on it and chew a little bit and man, the flavor. I highly recommend these candies. SO GOOD. So...very...very...very good. ...giggle...

Strawberries. Yum. These little candies below tasted like yummy strawberries. Coris Strawberry Whistle Candy. Haha, apparently you can whistle with them by blowing through the hole. And yes, I tried it and they do whistle!! So neat! lol... You even get a FREE toy prize in the pack!!

Said toy prize was a cute little red hair brush. Aww.....

Okay, this one candy was the one I didn't like at all. The only item out of the entire box that I really did not like. Puccho Awawawa Ball Candy. There's a layer of hard candy, and at the center a soft and fresh soda flavored core that fizzes in your mouth. I didn't mind that part but the flavor...my taste buds were not digging it. It was kind of sour but not sour...I don't know how to explain it. I just didn't like it.  *sad face*

Koala Bears!!! Come on, how cute are these?!! Lotte Koala March Biscuits!!!! Little biscuits with different koala bears on each one filled with...CHOCOLATE. Oh, yeah, I loved these.

Took a bite to show you what's on the inside.....CHOCOLATE!!! Mmmmm...... Two thumbs up!!

I had my fingers crossed Pocky would be in my box and Yas!!! I got Pocky Panda Cookie Biscuits. OMG. My favorite. Yum...yum...yum...yum...yum! Chocolate flavored biscuits with a cream and cookie coating. Did I say yet that I loved these? I want more!!  Look at the cute panda packaging too. *dimple*

Pocky Panda Cookie Biscuits for the win!! My tummy is happy when I'm eating Pocky!

All right peeps, these were my ULTIMATE favorite item out of the entire box. Holy Hannah, they are sooo good I will be ordering more. Bourbon Petit White Chocolate Stuffed Cookies. They're small itty bitty cookies but sooo delicious.

If you're going to try anything out of this box, go for this one. You can't lose. Or the Pocky Panda...eh, just get both!!!

Last but not least we have a savory snack...the Kracie Popin' Cookin' DIY Takoyaki Set. I had photos showing you how I made these but somehow they got corrupted and I don't have them anymore. *sad pout*

These are not sweet but a savory treat. You get little molds, mixing/measuring containers, & packets of powdered food. You start by mixing up this gummy paste which is made from octopus!! and mold it in the shapes of octopus tentacles!

You actually get to mix up your own mayo and soy sauce by adding water to the packets provided. Then, you mix up this batter which is almost like a pancake batter or maybe I should say like a corn dog batter which it  kind of tasted like to me.  You have these little round molds that you pour some of the batter in, top with the octopus shaped gummy and put in the microwave for about a minute I think. It pops up and looks like a round little treat.

Now, for the toppings...you pour on some of the soy sauce which was sooo yummy by the way and then drizzle the mayo over just like you see in the picture below and pop a toothpick in one and nibble away. I really liked them! My first time eating octopus!! hahaha... You have to try these at least once peeps. It was so much fun to make.

Wasn't that fun? I'm sure you're drooling on your computer screen right now, aren't you? Well, I can do something about that...how about you enter for a chance to win one of these fun and yummy Japan Candy Boxes!!?!! Oh, yeah. Just enter below peeps. Open Internationally. *wink wink* Man, I love these boxes!

♥ Girls Just Wanna Have Fun ♥

Friday, January 15, 2016

It's my Birthday coming up this weekend and all I wanna do is have fun & eat cake!! *throws confetti* So this Christmas I got a lot of pretty goodies under my darling little pink tree perfect for my birthday on January 16th! It's pretty cool how my birthday and Christmas are so close together...double the fun when it comes to cake, yummy foods and lots of prezzies or as much prezzies as my budget allows me to indulge on. Yes, I get myself presents...I deserve it! and I know I'll love it since I picked it out! *wink*  Really though, I never used to indulge in buying myself things like pretty clothing or shoes or jewelry.

I actually never used to be so fashion obsessed as I am today. It's hard to believe...I know! If you follow me up on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram you'll see first hand how obsessed I am with fashion. I used to hate buying clothing...loathed it actually but that pretty much changed when I finally figured out how to get healthier and lose 30 lbs that had been pestering me since I was a kid. Since that transformation...and yes, I feel like a different person now!!...I can't seem to stop myself when I see a cute outfit...it goes on my wishlist and I save up and snatch up that pretty. I'll be talking more about all that in a lingerie/review post coming soon so keep your peepers out for it but right now this post is all about the new purchases I got for my birthday which you'll see below. Who's ready to toss some confetti in the air and party?!! ...giggle...

Don't you just love selfies? I know some people think they're only for narcissistic people who can't get enough of themselves but selfies believe it or not actually helped me grow my self confidence about how I looked.  *wink wink* Plus, I love getting glamoured up and sharing it with all my friends who are around the world! It's fun to share what you love whether it's a new lip balm that you tried (I'm wearing my new Oh, Sugar Covergirl Lip Balm in this pic!) or a new outfit or girly jewelry.  What about you? What do you like about selfies?

I plan on wearing this cute two piece set I got from Glitters for Dinner on my birthday...in fact, the whole ensemble is for my birthday!! How fabulous is it? The print is to die for and fits me like a glove. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it and it was on sale too...it was kismet!

Always eat cake!! Cake is awesome. Yum. In fact, I'll be indulging in a LOT of Birthday Cake this month!
Watch out for photos on my instagram

Triple the fun! This two piece set is soo well made...you can tell it's made with care and the quality is top notch. I'll definitely be shopping at  Glitters for Dinner again. The size I got is an XS and really fits perfectly. It's pretty much like a second skin....which could have been problematic since the fabric doesn't really stretch in this piece but thankfully, it fit me perfectly like it was made especially for me! I'm so happy it did fit because I did not want to return it. It's GORGEOUS!!

You can see my pretty Heart & Pearl Necklace that I got for Christmas in this selfie/portrait. Isn't it so kawaii? It came all the way from Tokyo from a shop called 6% Doki Doki and it has a matching ring below. I think they just might be the prettiest pieces of jewelry I own.

Love my nails? It's a cute little nail set I got that I think I might add to my shop. What do you think? You like?  :)

Pink is always the answer!
I know this outfit has touches of pink in it but really I need more ultra bright hot pink and pastel pink pretties in my closet. #SayYesToPink

Closeups!!

Last but not least! I LOVE anklet socks with little frills or pom poms and these girly pink socks I got from Top Shop are sooooo girly. They go together wonderfully with my Mary Rose Blue Bow Heels that also came all the way from Tokyo too just like my jewelry. Why, yes, I do love the fashion of Japan!  giggle... I hope to get the pink and white version and there's even a Houndstooth design!!

Happy Birthday to me!!!
