Our Favorite Halloween Movies! Midnight Matinee!

When it's time to celebrate Halloween I LOVE the classics...Frankenstein, King Kong, The Bride Of Frankenstein, Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man. One of my favorite not so classic movies is Hocus Pocus! I adore that movie...so fun! We just have to watch that movie every year...it's a must. And Don't forget about The Addams Family and The Munsters.

Today we're featuring Soloman Burke, the King of Rock 'n' Soul! Not my usual video, I know, but I heard it via Sebastian Pigott via facebook and I just got hooked!! lol...it's got such a sexy vibe to it and makes you want to get up and grab your honey. *wink wink*

During the 55 years that he performed professionally, Burke released 38 studio albums on more than 17 record labels and had 35 songs that charted, including 26 songs that made the Billboard R&B charts, including "Got to Get You Off My Mind" that was #1 in the summer of the 1965, and an additional 9 songs that were only listed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including 1964's seminal “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love”. 

Burke had over 30 songs make the Cash Box R&B charts, with "Got to Get You Off My Mind" reaching #1, and 23 that charted on their pop chart hits, with seven making Cash Box's Top 40.

 In 2001, Burke was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a performer. His album Don't Give Up on Me won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album at the 45th Grammy Awards in 2003. By 2005 Burke was credited with selling 17 million albums. 

Rolling Stone ranked Burke as #89 on its 2008 list of "100 Greatest Singers of All Time.

She's a Capricorn who loves sci-fi kick ass adventure shows/movies, loves pizza (the more cheese the better!!), adores music from all eras (though she does have a penchant for dance pop music!), and even though she's never been to California she's just a sunshine, palm tree Cali kind of girl at heart who hopes to one day make her way over there. *wink* And yes, she can be a bit of a primadonna! *wink wink*

She loves Fashion  though that wasn't always the case. After improving her eating habits...she finally lost the 27 lbs that have been her arch nemesis since...well, forever! Bwahahaha, take that! Pow! Wham! Bam! lol. It feels good to be healthy!  *wink wink* Kidding aside it was the hardest thing she's ever conquered, but conquer it she did. Whew! She can be a bit of a tomboy too. She loves her jeans & t-shirts.
