Happy Monday pretties!  This is my second OOTD post and I swear I just get more and more excited every time I do one! lol...  I guess it's because I'm always so surprised by how I look in my photos.  I'll look at them and go...oh, I look like that?! Dang, I look awesome.  It's almost as if you're looking at yourself through someone else's eyes and seeing for the first time that oh, your hair doesn't look as bad as you thought it did or your nose isn't quite as big as you thought it was. Heehee... you know I'm right. Taking all these selfies and photos of myself has really made my self confidence grown a lot. Has it done that for you? 

I got this gorgeous dress is from Nasty Gal! I love that website. I could window shop there all the time. Such gorgeous outfits.  It's their Sweetheart Skater Dress in Navy. I just fell in love with it so much. I waited a bit before I got it because frankly I didn't have it in the budget at the time and boy, was I rewarded for my waiting. It went on sale and I snatched it up. I absolutely LOVE the poufy skirt and sweetheart neckline!

I thought I'd make this post a little bit more interesting by posting a few little tidbits about moi that you didn't know. Enjoy!!

1.) I never used to wear dresses. 

I used to only ever wear baggy jeans and loose tops. It's true. A fashion nightmare for someone who loves clothing so much like me. Probably the last time I wore a dress I was in single digits. I've always been kind of insecure about my legs...still am actually and would just wear jeans most of the time. I would hardly ever go shopping...for real like once a year!...as nothing would ever fit right and don't get me started about those changing rooms. *shivers* It's really only been almost 2 years (Such a short time!) since I improved my eating habits and dropped weight that I've become completely #fashionobsessed and happy with how I look. Anytime I go out I usually always wear a dress or skirt!! That's a complete 180 degree change there!! 

2.) Before this year I had never worn red lipstick ever.

Yes, tis true. I kind of went through a berry colored lipstick phase and then fuchsia pink.  I like really, really love pink a lot. I only just started wearing blood red lipstick since this February which is insane because I look so fabulous in it! I'm kind of obsessed with red lippies now. There's this cherry pink lippy that I use from Etude House and I'm wondering what their red lippie would look like on me. Something else to add to the wish lust list. *wink* What's even funnier is since I've started wearing red lipstick people keep telling me hey, you look like Taylor Swift!! Added bonus! Ha! I do love Taylor Swift...one of the reasons why I named this post "I've Got that Classic Red Lip Thing You Like" *wink* 

3.) I'm very Kawaii.

Until recently, I had no idea what Kawaii meant. It's Japanese for "Cute, Darling, Adorable, etc..." You get the idea! I'm finding that I'm developing an obsession for anything Kawaii/Japanese lately. I've been going gaga for Green Tea Kit Kats, Matcha Green Tea, Cute Cosmetics like Etude House, Mochi Ice Cream, even a Kawaii Subscription Box which I reviewed awhile back, and the most Kawaii of fashions like cute little unicorns (Coming soon to our shop!!) or fried eggs on skirts or dresses! Have you heard of a Japanese Rilakkuma Bear? I SO want one!! I'll even be reviewing a new subscription box called Japan Candy Box very soon. Yes, I'm very Kawaii indeed. *dimple* 

4.) I've never worn a bikini.

 I have never worn a bikini out in public. Even though I lost my weight and am a size 2 I still can't help feeling so insecure. I haven't quite gotten over my fear of wearing a bikini for the first time...It is a real fear I kid you not. There must be a name for it, right?! I'm hoping I can conquer it...maybe if I find a cute bathing suit I can somehow overcome it?...or not...we'll see.

4.) I just had a dream come true. Like for real.

 I have a dream wish list. Everybody does, right? Basically, a list of goals you want to achieve...your dreams becoming reality, places you want to go to, weight you want to lose,  etc...well I just had one come true. It's something that I wanted to have ever since I was a wee little girl. I kind of guess fate intervened and gave it to me since I myself had a hard time achieving it...lol..but I'm not telling you what it is yet. Nope. You'll have to wait for the blog post to know which one of my dreams came true. *dimple*

REVIEW ♥ Smile Brilliant Whitening System ♥

Hey pretties! How's your week going? Always hard at work in the beauty lab whipping out pretty potions for you. In between all that lovely work I've been trying out this at home teeth whitening product called Smile Brilliant. Everybody wants a really white sparkly smile right?! I mean, who doesn't want teeth that sparkle? *wink*

Now, I actually don't need my teeth whitened. They're pretty darn sparkly already.  I don't drink coffee that much except for an occasional Starbucks Frappuccino...remember that Venti I had awhile back... and I don't smoke so my teeth are stain free. I tend to just use a cinnamon flavored...yum!...teeth whitening toothpaste which works fine for me. In fact, I once had someone comment on how white my teeth were so I almost passed up the opportunity to review this little kit. Buuuut I had a friend who had been wanting to try out an at home whitening system so thought why not let them try it out and then you'll get a chance to see how this kit works.

First off, customer service from Smile Brilliant was extremely helpful. They even offered to talk to me on the phone to explain how to use their kit but I'm a pretty fast learner and didn't need to. Their kit consists of blue teeth molding trays, instruction guides, 3 sets of catalyst paste and base paste, three syringes of Desensitizing Gel and three syringes of whitening gel. You also get a blue prepaid mailer for sending in your teeth molds when you cast them in the molding paste. How awesome is that that you get custom trays for your teeth!!? 

So the first step is to mold your teeth so you can get custom plastic trays to use when you're whitening your teeth. It's pretty simple. Follow the instructions in your kit and mix together the catalyst and base paste. One will be blue and one will be white that you mix together to get a light blue paste. It'll be used to create a mold of your teeth both upper and lower to get custom shaped trays. You only need two sets but they give you a third if you mess up on one and if you happen to not get it right the first time Smile Brilliant will even send you some more until you get a perfectly molded set of upper and lower molds. I'm not going to lie it took me three tries...lol...you have to work fast with the molding paste! 

Basically, you just put it into those little blue trays (They kind of look like mouth guards!) you see below and following your instructions mold them to your teeth. Don't do both the upper and the lower molds at the same time though as the molding base can harden quickly. You want to start with your upper and get it molded before starting on the lower set of teeth. You need to let them set and harden for 30 minutes, rinse off and then put in the little blue prepaid mailed they include in your kit to send to Smile Brilliant to create your custom trays. If your trays don't happen to mold perfectly, not to worry they'll let you know and send you some more catalyst and base paste to try again so they can get a good mold. Like I said really great customer service!

To the left on the bottom photos, you can see the plaster mold that they create with your impressions. The peeps at Smile Brilliant kindly sent this to me to show how much work goes into the preparation of your teeth trays. Customers who buy the kit don't actually get the plaster mold. The final product is to the right! Perfectly shaped to your teeth whitening trays. It usually takes a week to get them made up and sent to you so you can start the whitening process. 

Now, comes the whitening part! Just brush your teeth, open a syringe and put a thin line of whitening gel in your trays. Insert the trays on your teeth and leave in anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours. Rinse out your mouth, clean and dry trays and next apply a thin line of the desensitizing gel to your teeth trays. These you leave in for 5-15 minutes. Do not rinse out your mouth this time...just spit out any excess gel. Your saliva is necessary for the finalization of this process and remember don't eat or drink anything for 30 minutes after you do this. There you have it! Just repeat this process until you've used up all the gel. You get about 3 uses out of each syringe.

So that's about it. You can see the results below! The whitening gel was used in a duration of 30+ minutes each time it was used and my friend is pretty happy with the results! It should be said though that this whitening system helps remove stains...sometimes you might not always see an ultra white result but just the removal of the stains. I think it's a great product and if my teeth weren't already so white I'd be using this!! I mean, anything you can do at home in your cuddly pajamas instead of a dentists office...(Aren't they always just sooo darn iceberg chilly?!!) is a thumbs up for me. *dimple*

Teeth Whitening Gel by Smile Brilliant

I've been kind of focused on trying to get a new exercise routine down and came across this photoshoot via tumblr and just had to share it! Talk about inspiration! Exercise is such my Achilles Heel. After revamping my food lifestyle and focusing on healthier options; salads, veggies, lean meats, water etc...I'm about 95% of the way to reaching my goal. I'm pretty sure that last 5% needs to be kicked in the butt with some exercise!! If only we all looked so glamorous when we worked out. *wink wink* Hmm, maybe I should get some glamorous work out clothes! heehee...

Speaking of cute workout clothes...we did just add some new ultra cute Gigi Workout Shorts to our shop.

Right now, I do tons of squats every day, walking and this Victoria Secrets Video. What are your favorite exercises to do? Have you gotten great results from them? Let me know! I'm always interested in discovering new ways to get fit!

OOTD: ♥ Beautiful Crime ♥

Happy Monday babes! I feel gorgeous and confident. That's not something I would have said a couple years ago. In fact, I kind of thought I wasn't that pretty and being a wee bit unhealthy and overweight I wasn't at all that happy. That finally changed when I changed my lifestyle for the better...you got it...a few years ago. Now, I'm all about silencing that little voice in my head and feeling as gorgeous and confident as I really am.

That's one of the reasons I'm starting to add fashion OOTD posts to my blog. I  really want to get out of my comfort zone. I actually don't have that many photos of myself before I adopted a healthier lifestyle...I was that bothered by how I felt about myself and being that I'm so fashion obsessed now I just had to add a clothing line to my beauty lines and what better way to get out of my comfort zone then to model the clothing myself! *wink*

This sweet little ensemble I'm wearing below is one of the many pretty fashions available in our shop! Isn't it gorgeous!!! Our pretty Elle houndstooth crop top comes in a sunny sunshine yellow AND pastel pink. (Pssst.....I do believe Taylor Swift wore an ensemble just like this!! That girl has fabulous taste.) 

 I've also kind of realized that I've missed out on a lot of things so I've resolved to go out and do more...have more fun...enjoy life more...go on more picnics! Ha...though I do need to get a picnic basket to go on more picnics, don't I? Something retro with pink or red gingham. *stares dreamily thinking about all the pretty cups, saucers, and picnic gear I can get* Must google that. Adding to my list of things to do!!  

Really though, I've realized life is so short and you really need to embrace it and dive in. It'd be a beautiful crime to waste it just because you're worried about what other people are thinking of you and for the first time in my life I'm pretty darn happy with me. 

I don't know about you but I totally agree with Cara.
