Oh, my! It's been quite awhile since I've updated our blog. I've got to change that, oui? Been a bit busy on orders, updating labels and the web shop, social media and more...it can be a lot for little ole' me to do but I'm gonna try to get this sweet little pink blog updated more than I have been doing. What better way to start then to show you what we've been working on and added to the shop. *warm smiles*
This is our newest soy candle! Our "Marie Antoinette" Roses and More Roses Candle. It comes in our signature pink tins and is a pretty baby pink in color. It smells like a sublime rose garden on a sunny summer day!! Tres Magnifique! We've topped it with organic rosebuds and rose petals and of course LOTS of glitter. When I think of Marie Antoinette I tend to think of pretty baby pink and baby blues so I wanted to incorporate that into this candle. We have a baby pink sparkly glitter, a touch of gold glitter, pink heart shaped glitter and a pop of blue glitter that we use in the same named nail polish!
What do you think? So pretty, oui? If only you could smell it...mmmmm, heavenly!

I just adore Marie Antoinette, from the original Queen herself to the movie, "Marie Antoinette" with Kirsten Dunst. It inspires me to no ends. I always keep my makeup simple with a vibrant pop of lipstick. This is our "Lover Boy" The Virgin Liquid Lipstick...a gorgeous blood red which you can get in my shop!! Long pink sparkly nails to go with my red hot dress. I just love the pretty pink heart ring I accessorized my outfit with. It's soooo cute!! And my vintage inspired rhinestone bow necklace.
I made a little New Years treat...mini rainbow sugar cookies!! They were sooo good!!
My Nails. Pink. Sparkly. Glittery. Pure Loveliness. I used a pink pastel nail polish (I'm sure I'll be brainstorming how to mix up our own for our new nail polishes!)....and added a layer of our BRAND NEW!!! Margarita Bloom nail polishes in our Valentines Collection "The Lonely Hearts Club" in "The Daydreamer" a gorgeous sparkly iridescent holographic glitter nail polish. And then added some of our "Unicorn Tears" Iridescent Star Glitter on top finishing with a top coat or two of Seche Vite. Sparkle on babe.
I just adore this outfit and think it would be lovely to wear on Valentines Day too! Here's to a magical New Year 2017 full of more pretty dresses, gorgeous shoes, happiness, hot tea, yummy food, good books, awesome hair days, even prettier nails, more and more glitter polish added to our brand (I think I might be obsessed and the color combinations are endless with our nail polish!!!!) more sunshine, and more pampering with our pretty potions. *wink wink* Love to you!!

Well, it's here....2016!! Yay! *confetti throw* Welcome to the future!! I think my theme for this year will be to sparkle! it's all about glitter...glitter...and more glitter!!!! Sequins, glitter, sparkles, anything and everything that shines. Really, one of my New Years Resolutions is to have more glitter in my life...(...that and experiment with more eye makeup which works together quite nicely, doesn't it?). More glitter. More fun. More pretty dresses. More happy things. More tea! More OOTD posts like these! *wink* I need it in my life.
So I thought why not start on New Years. I got dressed up in my Gabby Sequin Motel Rocks dress which I love so much. It makes me feel like a gorgeous mermaid goddess. SEQUINS EVERYWHERE = HAPPY ME. I love how it's quite comfortable too...something you can dance and wear all night long in. I put on some matching green glitter nail polish, glittered up my eyes in iridescent glitter and adorned one of my eyes with a star like a french mouches. Mouches, in case ya didn't know, are artificial beauty marks crafted from chiffon, taffeta, and velvet worn by the French & English bon ton of the Seventeenth & Eighteenth Centuries. One near the eye means passionate and one on the cheek means amorous ...so I've got double the fun on my face. heehee... *wink wink*
I, also, got a box from Influenster (Yay for free potions!!) just before Christmas that had a lip balm from Covergirl called Oh, Sugar that came in the color Sprinkles...a pretty pink and smelled of Sugar and a mascara called Plumpify that I decided to wear. This may be my favorite Influenster box since I got the one with the hot pink detangler brush I use every day.
Add a HUGE pastel PINK heart ring and some custom frilly iridescent earrings from Frilly Pops, the cutest little store on Etsy and I was ready to have some fun...after throwing some glitter in my hair of course. I really need to research how to make glitter gel for the hair. Oh, yeah. 2016 = the year of glittery hair! at Margarita Bloom. That's got to happen, oui?
Merry Christmas pretties!! I hope your day was spent amongst people you love, gobbling up copious amounts of delicious food and wearing pretty clothes. *wink* Today was a day of relaxing (even though I've still got loads of work to do for pretty Margarita Bloom orders!) A girl's got to have some time to herself especially for the holidays. *dimple* I didn't really do too much today. I did want to put together a little #ootd Christmas post which I think might be my first one if you don't include the lingerie reviews I've been doing that is. *wink*
I thought this dress was the perfect Christmas dress! Brilliant Christmas Red with festive white X-Mas Roses....and I got to use my new Samsung NX2000 camera!! I think the photos turned out really great and didn't take me seven hours to get unlike my other old point and shoot camera. I'll be doing a review on my camera as well soon so keep your peepers out for it.
I've had this dress for awhile and actually got it from Rue21. I knew I defintely wanted to wear our pretty new Black Velvet Bow Choker which was just the rainbow sprinkles on the ice cream if you ask me. So simple and pretty. You can't go wrong with velvet and bows. *wink* We'll be adding it to our Storenvy shop soon.

I pretty much spent the day making nummy food...drinking lots of hot chocolate (And making it from scratch!), admiring some of the Christmas pretties I got...heehee...though I have more on it's way to me! and listened to some X-Mas music which you can hear here on my YouTube playlist. My favorite one is "Louis Armstrong - 'Zat You, Santa Claus". It was pretty relaxing and non eventful. I even got to watch "White Christmas" my favorite holiday movie right up there with "Elf"
Ha! I have to admit I crave some more excitement than my holidays usually have and would love to go to New York and Paris for Christmas going ice skating and eating hot steamy Belgian Waffles with whipped creme from Food Vendors! What a dream!!! le sigh...
I also played with a new Nail Polish Box Set by #FlashMob called Urban Nails while rocking out to some new music by The Virgins called "Rich Girls" the Le Castle Vania Remix.
Thank you Brandbacker and #FlashMob for this awesome Collab! I was SOOOO excited to review this product I can't even tell you. I've been wanting to try out #Flashmob for quite a while now. I came across the brand via another blogger's, Kayla Hadlington's, review of #Flashmobs pretty pink hair chalk. I just fell IN LOVE. ♥ I had wanted to try their hair chalk out but couldn't find a way to order them and have it shipped to the US. I was so bummed but then of course here I am anyway with this awesome collab a little bit later so yay! These nail polishes are just as fabulous as I thought they would be too. I decided to paint my nails in a festive Christmas green to go with my dress with lots and lots of glitter! Their Urban Nails Box Set included 3 pots of glitter in green, blue, and purple with four bottles of nail polish in white, pinky purple, blue, and a gorgeous green.
The formulas are very nice! In fact, the white may be the best one I've tried so far. You can see it in the first photo on this post. The polish can be a little streaky as I found I needed at least four thin coats to get my nails opaque. I applied 4 coats of the blanc white polish so it would make the other color I chose "POP" and be more vivid. I then applied three coats of the green and on the last coat while the polish was still wet dipped it into the pot of glitter and voila! I love this brand....like SUPER love. I was quite surprised at how affordable they were too! At only $4.88 for this box set I was surprised at the awesome quality.

I may be obsessed with nail polish a bit...okay a lot. I used to have the annoying bad habit of biting my nails which really didn't make trying on nail polish that much fun for me. Whew, it's hard to break a bad habit but I finally did it and I've been on a roller coaster ride of fun trying out new colors from every brand I can think of!
There's a brand I haven't tried yet called Julep. I've been browsing through their website and they've got lots of pretty colors to choose from as well as tools and accessories to help you perfect the prettiest nail you could ever want. Here are a few of my favorite picks!! I adore glitter, pastels and bright colors when it comes to my nails. The Priscilla one would match my Motel Rocks Sequin dress to perfection!!
I was really intrigued by their new product called a Plie Wand. Okay, first thing you have to understand is I paint my nails like I'm a two year old. Really I do. Literally nail polish is everywhere except on my nails! lol... I usually have to wait till the next day when I take a shower and the hot water just seems to melt off the extra bits of polish off like magic. Then, my nails don't look half bad, but come on...I'd rather have my nails look fantastic right from the get go. That's what the Plie Wand is supposed to do especially when you're painting your nails with your other hand..make it look like you got your nails done professionally.
