✧˖°🌷 ୨୧˚ Holygrail Asian Haircare ✧˖°🌷 ୨୧˚

Saturday, August 24, 2024

I haven't posted up here in such a long time but when I found these haircare products I felt they deserved a post all about them! But first things first, a little back story....all my life I've tried to find hair products that worked for my hair because when I was about eight I went to a hair salon and needless to say the perm they gave me ruined my hair. Ever since then my hair has been really damaged, dry and with split ends galore.

I think I've tried every product imaginable since I was a little girl to make my hair healthy looking but nothing has ever worked. I've tried drugstore brands and even more expensive brands, shampoos and conditioners which always either left my hair dry or super oily looking, even frizz free products to tame my hair and none of them ever worked. It's been exhausting and frankly, I felt like giving up. I had found an Asian heat protectant hair serum years ago that worked wonders but then, wouldn't you know it....they discontinued it.
And, then, this year I discovered these Asian products below and everything changed! The first product I found was the Fino Premium Touch Hair Mask. The smell of this hair mask is SO good. It smells like honey nectar and flowers and ambrosia of the gods...it's the best way to describe it to be honest. One of my favorite scents! It transformed my hair and gave it back all it's moisture. I think I might have overused it to be honest....because after awhile it started to over moisturize my hair but that only means it did it's job and I didn't need to use it anymore which frankly, kind of bummed me out cause the scent is amazing. I definitely give it 5 stars. One thing when you over moisturize your hair, you need to add protein back into it so I started using a protein hair mask but I'll get to that in another post probably.

You can get the Fino Hair Mask here

The next product I found was the Mise En Scene Serum. It's a wonderful serum that smoothed out my hair and is not greasy. It's a heat protectant and makes my hair super shiny! And omg, the smell....like water lilies. It smells so good. I'd buy it just for the scent alone to be honest. I'll definitely be purchasing this again when I run out.

Another serum I had to have was the Fino Hair Serum also a heat protectant....I wanted something that smelled like the hair mask and this does indeed smell like it. I like to layer it with the other serum but try not to apply too much as it can get weighed down. I definitely think I'll be buying this again.

The last set of products I got and absolutely favorite is this shampoo and conditioner set by Tsubaki. It's the Moist and Repair haircare set and wow! Just wow! I have NEVER found a hair conditioner that has worked for my hair like this one. It doesn't make it greasy and makes my hair look so healthy. I use a lot after I shampoo and really squish it into my hair so every strand gets coated.

This shampoo and hair conditioner has changed my life. My hair is 95% less frizzy without even adding anything else and it looks sooooo incredibly healthy even with my split ends. If these ever get discontinued, I'll be sooo incredibly sad. They're beyond amazing!!!! And that is why I had to post this...cause I've finally found my perfect haircare items after searching forever. I don't think I'll ever use anything on my hair again unless it's from Japan or Korea. My goodness, but I find their products to be far superior than anything I've ever tried. I'm in love.

BEAUTY ♥ HAIRCARE ROUTINE ♥

Monday, February 3, 2020

Hiya pretty fleurs! So you know me, I'm obsessed with taking good care of my hair. It's been through a lot over the years, a bad perm when I was little, so much heat damage and lots and lots of products. My favorite hair product Hana Shine Serum got discontinued so I've been on the search for a new serum or other products that could deliver the same amazing results with very little success. I probably tried about 10 different products and none of them worked for me. I thought I'd try to search for the same ingredients and even came across a serum that very similar but in the end I couldn't stand the scent of it and it didn't work as well as my Hana Serum but funny story is I ended up getting a Amazon prime trial so I could save on shipping and then got a $10 credit from them just when my hair dryer broke and I needed to get a new one. Awesome, right?

I've never been really impressed with any of the hair dryers I've gotten in the past. They've either been too heavy to hold, didn't really get rid of my frizz (and I have A LOT!), or too hot so that it would make my hair crispy. I didn't really have high expectations when looking for a new one, let me tell ya! Of course, I love a pretty product and if it's pink and green I want it but sometimes when you get pretty aesthetics you don't get a good product and I'm happy to say with this new hair dryer I got it's pretty to look at and amazing to use too! I was definitely attracted to how cute this hair dryer looks and definitely needed something that would cut back on my frizz. This delivers all of that and more! Just think if I hadn't have gotten that hair serum which I can't even use...sigh...I never would have found this hair dryer!

I've found my hair dryer for life. If this beauty ever breaks, I'm buying another one! It's super light weight so it doesn't hurt my arm holding it. The buttons are positioned perfectly so I don't accidentally switch one off or on. It's gorgeous!! It has a hot and warm setting as well as a high and low setting and it has a cool shot button. When I first used this I was blown away at how it tamed my frizz! I mean, like really tamed it!! and how shiny it got. I really love it. I can't even think of a con for it. The hair dryer by itself is almost as awesome as my Hana Shine Serum and that's saying a lot.

Using the brand Bedhead also led me to a new shampoo Bedhead Urban Anti-dotes for damaged hair and ohhhh, my let me tell you I love the smell of this shampoo...like fizzy fruity ambrosia. It smells like something I would make for my shop.*warm smiles* It works great on my hair but can leave it a little stiff sometimes so I use the only conditioner that works for my hair Aussie Three Minute Miracle Moist Conditioner. It's the only one I can really use that doesn't over saturate my hair with moisture. Good stuff. I also use a clarifying shampoo every once in awhile to get rid of any extra buildup. So far it all seems to be working pretty good. I still miss my Hana Shine Serum...that stuff was ah-mazing. It never made my hair greasy but managed to make it super shiny and controlled my frizz like nothing else. These products below are great alternatives to it but I'm still going to be on the look out for a new frizz shine serum. Have you tried anything like that? Let me know. *wink* At any rate, I'd check out these pretties. I'm absolutely in love with this hair dryer.

♥ REVIEW: Corioliss, Tangle Teezer, and Bella & Bear ♥

Sunday, April 19, 2015

Can't the weekend last a little bit longer? I've been going through a sleep marathon and just don't want to stop but I did find some time to put together this sweet little post about some of the haircare items I've been using lately. I always get such lovely comments about how pretty my hair looks so thought why not share what tools I use with you to get my hair looking perfectly coiffed.

I have been obsessed with this little Corioliss Vintage Hairdryer ever since I saw it a few years ago. I just couldn't get it out of my mind and I'm happy to say I finally got it! It's just the cutest thing ever!

It comes in such a pretty blue box with a little cutout so you can see the hairdryer and even comes with a blue travel bag. This is a travel hairdryer so it's smaller than a typical hairdryer. I like that it's smaller in size not only because I can take it with me when I travel but also because it doesn't strain my arm when I use it. The design is one of the reasons, if not the top reason, I wanted to get it. I mean, look at those pretty pink roses and the gorgeous blue color of it. I had to have it. I'm a sucker for roses. I even kept the packaging. It's too pretty to throw away.

The dryer actually came all the way from London to me so one of the things you'll notice is that the plug is not US compatible. I purchased mine at LookFantastic.com or you can go straight to the Corioliss website. It has a UK Three Pin Plug. It can even work in Europe as well. I had to get an adapter so I could of course use it in the USA which wasn't a problem at all. I looked it up on Amazon and got one here for a very affordable $6. Worked great and blended in with the black plug on the hair dryer so you can't even tell you have an adapter on it.

One thing to notice on the hair dryer is that you can change the voltage and if you're in the USA you want to make sure it's on 120 volts or you could pop a circuit. Thankfully, that never happened to me. It also has 2 heat settings; low and high. I'm totally in love with it and to keep it brand new I only use every once in awhile so it doesn't get banged up from too much use. If it ever does get banged up you can be sure I'll be getting another one. heehee... and to think they even have a flat iron in the same design!!! I'll be saving up for that pretty little gem. You can find the flat iron here at Urban Outfitters

Next up, are the two main brushes I use for my hair when styling. Let's talk about the Tangle Teezer! It's the hot pink brush below. I got this from an @influenster box and it's probably the one thing I got from Influenster that I use every single day. It NEVER fails to get the tangles out. I mean never! and my hair can get massive tangles. It is well worth the money to invest in one of these. I've used other brushes that claim they'll get the tangles out but I keep going back to the Tangle Teezer. It works. It's priced at $16 at Urban Oufitters and well worth the money. Plus, it's hot pink! What's not to love? And it's kind of indestructible. I've dropped mine twice and it even popped apart but I just snapped it back together and good as new.

My newest addition is this prettiest of them all "The Bear" paddle brush! It's from Bella and Bear and just about the prettiest little, or should I say big! brush I've ever seen. I think you know why I fell in love with it. The pretty roses and polka dot design that goes with my Corioliss Hair Dryer of course! When it comes to brushes I tend to lean towards paddle brushes because they smooth out my hair like no other. I really love the feel of this company and their packaging...cute, retro and fun! You can get the brush from Amazon here and I definitely recommend it. It's just so utterly feminine and adorable, makes my hair look fabulous and is sooo pretty on a vanity tabletop. What more could you ask for?!

I know! How about a giveaway?!! *wink wink* Bella and Bear would LOVE to give someone else a chance to try their products out and so that's why we're working with them to put together this sweet giveaway for that gorgeous Bella and Bear The Bear Paddle Brush above! Yay!! All you have to do to enter is fill out the rafflecopter below with as many entries as you can before it's over.

♡ REVIEW: Hask Hair Beauty ♡

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

Hey there beauties!! I've got a fabulous review for you. I just recently joined up with a cool site called Brand Backer and they partnered with the haircare line Hask Hair. I received some lovely samples of haircare to try out and review for you. Being an owner of a fabulous Beauty Brand you know I love my beauty products so I was very excited to try these out.

Have you heard of Hask Hair? I hadn't until I received these products.

They sent me the following to test out:
Hask Hair Keratin Protein Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner and Shine Oil
Hask Hair Aragan Oil Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner and Shine Oil
and a Pretty Blue Bath Caddy!

What they say about them:
ARGAN OIL LINE:
If you had three wishes from a genie in a magic lamp, what would they be? New shoes? A fancy car? Maybe you’d wish for perfectly soft, luscious hair! Well wish no more. You don’t need a genie for healthy, beautiful locks when you have Hask® Argan Oil products! Also known as “liquid gold,” Argan Oil is a precious, time-honored beauty secret in its native Morocco. Loaded with vitamins and antioxidants, Argan Oil from Morocco repairs, strengthens and moisturizes hair, all while taming frizz and adding shine. So saunter on down to the bazaar and barter for some of that liquid gold! Or you can, you know, pick up some Hask Argan Oil products… yeah, that’d probably be easier. Oh, and genie? About that new car….

The Argan Oil Line by Hask Hair
(The Celine Paris top is mine!)

What I say:
I really loved trying out their products. Their shampoos and conditioners are sulfate and paraben free. This line actually smelled like Blood Oranges...yummy citrus & definitely made my hair shinier and it felt stronger. I quite enjoyed using the shampoo and conditioner & the Shine Oil. Definitely does what it says. I'd give it all a thumbs up.

--------------------------

What they say about them:
Keratin Hair Line
Are color treatments, blow drying and hot irons leaving your hair lifeless and drab? We feel your pain! That’s why Keratin is a key ingredient in these fab new Hask products. Keratin Protein is the stuff your hair, skin and nails are made of—so it’s no wonder it’s so powerful and restorative for your hair. Keratin revives, restores, calms and strengthens parched, frizzy locks—wiping out the effects of heat, humidity and over-styling and helping your hair look and feel its best. What can’t Keratin do, you ask? Hold the curling iron for you, but that’s about it. Making Hask® Keratin Protein products a part of your daily beauty routine can help to revitalize and condition that hair of yours, all while sealing in moisture and shine!

What I say:
This line I think my hair liked the most! I tend to dry my hair a lot being that it's very long and definitely like to use my straighter and curling wand a lot so this really straightened out my hair and left it more manageable. It smelled like fruity apples and kiwis too. I really loved the Shine Oil...and you can use it on dry and wet hair too. I used it mostly on my hair while it was wet and I definitely saw improvement.

Here's a little tip:
If you want to see an ultra improvement in your hair, wait 2-3 days before shampooing and use this line. OMG, my hair was like silk. Oh course, I was kind of forced not to wash my hair...I didn't have electricity for 3 days due to the weather knocking out power so yep, my hair was in need of a good washing. lol...

Here are Hask's deep conditioning hair masque packets.
They even came with little cute hair ties.
My hair can be a bit of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Sometimes it's dry and if I use too much conditioner it can be really oily. It never knows it's own mind! lol...so I kind of have to be careful of over moisturizing. These def. do what they say. I find that I don't have to use that much for my hair.

And finally here's the cute little bath caddy that came with all this fabulousness.

I'd definitely recommend this line. In fact, I had no idea that these little beauties only retailed for about $11.99 or so  depending upon where you shop and you can get them at your local drug store. I would have thought they would have been more costly! What a great find. Hope you enjoyed the review lovelies!

You can find these products at Hask Beauty!
