✧˖°🌷 ୨୧˚ Holygrail Asian Haircare ✧˖°🌷 ୨୧˚

Saturday, August 24, 2024

I haven't posted up here in such a long time but when I found these haircare products I felt they deserved a post all about them! But first things first, a little back story....all my life I've tried to find hair products that worked for my hair because when I was about eight I went to a hair salon and needless to say the perm they gave me ruined my hair. Ever since then my hair has been really damaged, dry and with split ends galore.

I think I've tried every product imaginable since I was a little girl to make my hair healthy looking but nothing has ever worked. I've tried drugstore brands and even more expensive brands, shampoos and conditioners which always either left my hair dry or super oily looking, even frizz free products to tame my hair and none of them ever worked. It's been exhausting and frankly, I felt like giving up. I had found an Asian heat protectant hair serum years ago that worked wonders but then, wouldn't you know it....they discontinued it.
And, then, this year I discovered these Asian products below and everything changed! The first product I found was the Fino Premium Touch Hair Mask. The smell of this hair mask is SO good. It smells like honey nectar and flowers and ambrosia of the gods...it's the best way to describe it to be honest. One of my favorite scents! It transformed my hair and gave it back all it's moisture. I think I might have overused it to be honest....because after awhile it started to over moisturize my hair but that only means it did it's job and I didn't need to use it anymore which frankly, kind of bummed me out cause the scent is amazing. I definitely give it 5 stars. One thing when you over moisturize your hair, you need to add protein back into it so I started using a protein hair mask but I'll get to that in another post probably.

You can get the Fino Hair Mask here

The next product I found was the Mise En Scene Serum. It's a wonderful serum that smoothed out my hair and is not greasy. It's a heat protectant and makes my hair super shiny! And omg, the smell....like water lilies. It smells so good. I'd buy it just for the scent alone to be honest. I'll definitely be purchasing this again when I run out.

Another serum I had to have was the Fino Hair Serum also a heat protectant....I wanted something that smelled like the hair mask and this does indeed smell like it. I like to layer it with the other serum but try not to apply too much as it can get weighed down. I definitely think I'll be buying this again.

The last set of products I got and absolutely favorite is this shampoo and conditioner set by Tsubaki. It's the Moist and Repair haircare set and wow! Just wow! I have NEVER found a hair conditioner that has worked for my hair like this one. It doesn't make it greasy and makes my hair look so healthy. I use a lot after I shampoo and really squish it into my hair so every strand gets coated.

This shampoo and hair conditioner has changed my life. My hair is 95% less frizzy without even adding anything else and it looks sooooo incredibly healthy even with my split ends. If these ever get discontinued, I'll be sooo incredibly sad. They're beyond amazing!!!! And that is why I had to post this...cause I've finally found my perfect haircare items after searching forever. I don't think I'll ever use anything on my hair again unless it's from Japan or Korea. My goodness, but I find their products to be far superior than anything I've ever tried. I'm in love.

BEAUTY ♥ HAIRCARE ROUTINE ♥

Monday, February 3, 2020

Hiya pretty fleurs! So you know me, I'm obsessed with taking good care of my hair. It's been through a lot over the years, a bad perm when I was little, so much heat damage and lots and lots of products. My favorite hair product Hana Shine Serum got discontinued so I've been on the search for a new serum or other products that could deliver the same amazing results with very little success. I probably tried about 10 different products and none of them worked for me. I thought I'd try to search for the same ingredients and even came across a serum that very similar but in the end I couldn't stand the scent of it and it didn't work as well as my Hana Serum but funny story is I ended up getting a Amazon prime trial so I could save on shipping and then got a $10 credit from them just when my hair dryer broke and I needed to get a new one. Awesome, right?

I've never been really impressed with any of the hair dryers I've gotten in the past. They've either been too heavy to hold, didn't really get rid of my frizz (and I have A LOT!), or too hot so that it would make my hair crispy. I didn't really have high expectations when looking for a new one, let me tell ya! Of course, I love a pretty product and if it's pink and green I want it but sometimes when you get pretty aesthetics you don't get a good product and I'm happy to say with this new hair dryer I got it's pretty to look at and amazing to use too! I was definitely attracted to how cute this hair dryer looks and definitely needed something that would cut back on my frizz. This delivers all of that and more! Just think if I hadn't have gotten that hair serum which I can't even use...sigh...I never would have found this hair dryer!

I've found my hair dryer for life. If this beauty ever breaks, I'm buying another one! It's super light weight so it doesn't hurt my arm holding it. The buttons are positioned perfectly so I don't accidentally switch one off or on. It's gorgeous!! It has a hot and warm setting as well as a high and low setting and it has a cool shot button. When I first used this I was blown away at how it tamed my frizz! I mean, like really tamed it!! and how shiny it got. I really love it. I can't even think of a con for it. The hair dryer by itself is almost as awesome as my Hana Shine Serum and that's saying a lot.

Using the brand Bedhead also led me to a new shampoo Bedhead Urban Anti-dotes for damaged hair and ohhhh, my let me tell you I love the smell of this shampoo...like fizzy fruity ambrosia. It smells like something I would make for my shop.*warm smiles* It works great on my hair but can leave it a little stiff sometimes so I use the only conditioner that works for my hair Aussie Three Minute Miracle Moist Conditioner. It's the only one I can really use that doesn't over saturate my hair with moisture. Good stuff. I also use a clarifying shampoo every once in awhile to get rid of any extra buildup. So far it all seems to be working pretty good. I still miss my Hana Shine Serum...that stuff was ah-mazing. It never made my hair greasy but managed to make it super shiny and controlled my frizz like nothing else. These products below are great alternatives to it but I'm still going to be on the look out for a new frizz shine serum. Have you tried anything like that? Let me know. *wink* At any rate, I'd check out these pretties. I'm absolutely in love with this hair dryer.

OOTD ♥ VELVET DAYDREAMS ♥

Monday, February 27, 2017

Velvet!!! Don't you just adore it?!! I'm utterly in love with my two newest velvet beauties...this gorgeous pink velvet bodysuit  I got from Forever 21 and the ultra cute velvet booties from ASOS. Ugh, they're so perfect. Don't you just love fashion? Fashion just makes me soooo happy!!

♫ Selena Gomez - Who Says

You might not know this about me but I never used to wear pretty fashions like I do now. In fact, I only just started wearing these beautiful outfits a few years ago. All my life, I've had terrible body image issues and just wasn't happy with how I looked. I was 30 lbs over weight and not very healthy I might add. I never felt comfortable with my body and therefore couldn't be enthusiastic about fashion like I am now because I just couldn't wear the outfits I wanted. It was awful.

All I wanted to do was wear baggy pants and sweatshirts to hide myself away. I never even wore dresses, if you can believe that! It was an awful feeling not to be able to express my personality through my clothes...but a few years ago I finally had a eureka moment and figured out how to drop that weight and get healthy. It was amazing! The moment I could buy the clothes I had been dreaming about since I was a little girl was like the heavens opening up...haha...it was the most awesome feeling to accomplish one of my goals that I had had since I was 12 and now I can be free to express myself and be happy & healthy.

I get so exited when I find something online that I want to buy, a dress, a pair of pretty heels, anything velvet!!, I just want to share it with the world. It's one of the few things in my life that makes me sooo enthusiastically happy. It's not something I'll ever give up....my love of fashion and being able to express myself through it. I guess I'm saying don't ever let anything or anyone dull your sparkle. Wear what you want...be unique....be you and have so much fun you can't stop smiling!!

What's your favorite thing about fashion that allows you to be uniquely you?

That adorable Glico Popcan Disney Lollipop came from my Kawaii Box! Which I'll be doing up a review on my latest one and a giveaway next! Stay tuned peeps!!

Ugh, those booties!!!!! SOOO fabulous!!

So happy to have a flat iron again!!  You have NO Idea how frizzy my hair can get and uncontrollable without one. it was a nightmare. I'm thinking of doing up a review on the ones I got but first I'm waiting for another one to come in so I can review it too! It's so lovely being a blogger and being able to discover new awesome products.

♥ MUSIC: The Heart Wants What it Wants ♥

Monday, April 27, 2015

Monday. Again...but no worries we've got a lovely post to sweep away those Monday worries full of fashion and music. I don't know much about Selena Gomez but I do love her fashion sense and am quite obsessed with some of her songs like this one below....so sad and yet so beautiful."The Heart Wants What It Wants" ....but first a few shots of some of her gorgeous outfits I'm coveting...not to mention her gorgeous mane. *wink*

This photo shoot is just SO much fun and I love her outfits.
You can see more photos like this up on instagram @adidasneolabel

Glam yet, casual! Love her hair in this photo. Can you tell I love straight hair much?
My own hair can be quite wavy and I spend quite a lot of time trying to tame it.

This pink dress has my name written all over it. This was at the Teen Choice Awards.
I love anything in that color and the cut of the dress is perfect for moi. *wink* Now, just to find it.

Glamorous much?! Loooooove.

Photoshoot for Elle. That...dress...is...gorgeous. Ya know, I want it.

This might be my favorite of all the outfits. Dolce & Gabbana.
The tropical vibe is killer and boy, would it go awesome with my blonde hair. #fashionobsessed
Plus, Tangerine seems to be on trend lately..though that never stops me from liking a particular style or color. I just kind of go with my heart on what I like and it usually happens to be on trend. #magic

I just love the geekiness of this photo. The plaid shirt and cute glasses. Geeks rule. Ha!

Now, on to the music babes. Enjoy!! And check back for more posts!
We'll be featuring our Suki Set and a gorgeous JORD Wood Ely Watch!!

REVIEW ♡ Misikko Hana Flat Iron ♡ A Fairytale Dream Come True!

Wednesday, May 21, 2014

So I've been using this wonderful little hair straightening appliance by Misikko called a Hana Flat Iron...it's been a little over a month since I started testing it and I have to say I love it just as much as when I used it for the first time!! This is a pretty awesome little tool to have in your hair arsenal. First before I get into reviewing it I wanted to let you guys know a little back story about my hair...yes, it has a life of it's own. lol... I've had a hate hate affair with my hair ever since I was little that's only just recently turned into a love affair...and here's the story behind it and as every great story starts with Once Upon A Time...that's what I'll start with. *wink*

Once Upon A Time...there was a little princess (Yes, that's me!) and her mother the Queen lived in a lovely little Kingdom. The Queen adored her little Princess and wanted her to look her very best but of course the Queen loved...I mean, LOVED curly hair and she wanted her little Princess to have the most gorgeous of curly hair in all of their kingdom!! So she took the little Princess to the Kingdoms salon where she instructed them to give her princess the loveliest of curly hair in all the kingdom. (Oh vey, they gave moi a perm.) By the time they were done with the Princess's hair all the princess wanted to do was say "Off with their heads!!" (Which I'm sure you'd felt like saying more often than not yourself peeps...be honest. Ha!) Her poor hair became damaged, dry, brittle and frizzed out beyond belief. And yes, I have the picture to prove it...and no it will never see the light of day. Just saying. Just imagine an electrocuted poodle. No exaggerating here peeps!

From that point on the Princess tried every potion, conditioner, special product to smooth and repair her poor blonde tresses...some worked temporarily while others just didn't do very much of anything. Other potions made her hair too moisturized making it look greasy and others did the opposite and dried her lovely hair out. After much searching and testing out, the Princess finally found the right products for her hair but alas was never able to achieve that super straight look she had always dreamed of....that is until today!! (You know where I'm going with this, don't you?) a great wizard named "Misikko" created a fabulous new fangled appliance called a Hana Flat Iron and the Princess finally had her super straight gorgeous hair! .....no THE END here...this is just...The Beginning...  *wink wink*

So, yes I have been through quite a journey with my hair but it was worth it because I constantly get complimented on it and I love making my hair looking pretty. It makes me feel good. Plain and simple. I just can't concentrate on anything if I haven't glammed up my hair.

So on to the Review...this Misikko Flat Iron came in a box which you can see below FULL with all kinds of goodies!! I felt like it was Christmas to be honest with you...they really know how to make all their customers feel special. I didn't expect all the extra little gifts that came with my flat iron...I was just soooo pleasantly surprised. It came with an eyelash curler, an ELF Lip Gloss, ELF Eye Shadow Palette, Hand Sanitizer, Nail Buffers, a pretty white silk rose, a heart shaped box full of bath melts that are shaped like rose petals, it even had a Christmas Angel Ornament!

Along with those extras it also came with a Bag to store your Flat Iron in, a rubber mat so you can put down your flat iron without worrying about it burning the counter top, and an awesome shine & heat protecting serum that I'm seriously going to be restocking up on when I use up this gigantic 8 oz bottle of it! I highly reccomend it too peeps. It smells delightful, and really works to make your hair shiny and best of all it protects your hair from the heat.

Before I tried this flat iron out, I'd only ever used a $30 flat iron...this one is conisderably more costly at $239. It's a lot for a hair appliance but I have to say it's worth it. This is not just a name you're buying but a very well made hair appliance that really gives you results. With my $30 flat Iron it never really got my hair really straight, like silky smooth straight like the Hana does and it always grabbed on pieces of my hair on the plates. The Hana doesn't do that at all...it slides through my hair with no issues at all. It's extremely well made and made with 100% Ceramic!

I don't think they mention it here but I love how long the cord is on my Hana Flat Iron...I don't know why but every time I buy some sort of hair appliance they always have short cords which makes it hard to maneuver. Not so with my Hana. Check out the pics peeps!! That cord is LONG!! The flat iron came in a little box too...it was put in much nicer when I first got it but I just placed the flat iron in there right now for the picture sake. It also came along with some information brochures about how to take care of it and it's benefits.

Here are some of the Hana Flat Iron's features:

I love how you can use it on wet hair and dry too so it won't damage your hair if you perhaps didn't fully dry your pretty tresses. It's really easy to use...I just plug it in and hit the switch on the inside of the flat iron (you can see it in the picture where the flat iron is laying on it's side above) and put it to the desired heating setting. I just put mine up to 450 which works fine for me. I apply a small...very small amount of the shine heat protectant serum to my hair from my neck down and grab a piece of my hair and simply glide the flat iron down slowly. Voila! Super straight shiny hair. Just repeat all the way round your head. *wink*

It's kind of funny because my hair actually looks better when I do it myself with my flat iron then when I went to the salon which incidentally was just one day before I received my Flat Iron. They just didn't know how to treat my hair very well...it got all tangled and it came out dry looking when I went to the salon but when I used the Hana Flat Iron I had awesome results. Smooth, shiny and silky.

Now, on to the photos of moi's hair...I know you've been waiting for this...lol...you can see how straight it got my hair...no easy feat believe me!! Look how shiny it is! I'm pretty much in love with my Hana Flat Iron. Frankly, I don't know what I would do if anything ever happened to it. *wide eyed stare* I think I might cry...it's that awesome. I take my hair care very seriously. giggle...I do! Well, okay, half seriously and half fun! I totally recommend you check out Misikko peeps...two thumbs up.

In these pics, I used Misikko's Shine/Protectant Serum, Missiko Hana Flat Iron on my hair. Lipstick is Wet N Wild Dollhouse Pink, Nails by Pixi in a neon bubble gum pink, Houndstooth Dress by Love Culture and I'm wearing my Margarita Bloom Aphrodite Perfume Oil and Spike It Bracelet. xoxo

♡ My Favorite Spring Hair Trends ♡

Thursday, April 3, 2014

You know, I'm not sure I would actually call myself trendy. I love looking at all the trends that pop up from season to season but I don't always adhere strictly to trends. For example, bobs are in trend right now but I'm not so sure I would look good with short hair so that's a trend I'd stay away from myself but I think looks gorgeous on other peeps. Basically, I keep my eye on trends but go for what feels right for my look as you'll see below peeps.

Here are some of the trends that I'm loving!  First up...ultra straight hair by Chloe!! I've actually been on a quest to get super straight hair ever since a little perm fiasco when I was seven but don't worry you'll hear all about that in an upcoming post about my new Misikko Hana Elite Flat Iron. You'll want to read that one...that Flat iron is awesome!

Are flowers in your hair & pretty braids ever not a good thing? I think not! I ADORE Dolce&Gabanna already and these photos below just make me love them even more!! I mean, look at those pretty fleurs & the darling braids. That's pure magic.

Of course, rounding up my favs we have waves...I always love a pretty beachy wave! (Surfer Girls rock!), low ponies (so simply yet sophisticated and pretty) and pretty little bobs like Taylor's. It must be SO much easier to tame that mane what with it being short and all. I know my hair is a pain in the patootie to style but I do SO love long beachy CALI surfer girl hair! I just can't help it. *dimple*

Now, for me I kind of mixed trends and my own style below. Like I said, I LOVE straight hair and thanks to my Hana Elite Flat Iron I can now have healthy looking, ultra shiny straight hair like below. (Happy Dance!) but I also look fabulous with bangs so I just recently got them trimmed. I believe really, really short bangs are trending right now, but I look so much better with longer bangs so that's definitely not a trend I'd do.

Of course, I LOVE mermaid waves and what with my pretty @MotelRocks Gabby Sequin Dress on below it was just screaming for them to complete the look. Don't they look pretty?  What's your favorite spring trend for hair? Are you planning on doing up your hair like any of these pretty dos?

♡ Happy Sunday!!! ♡

let them eat lace....

Sunday, May 5, 2013

Happy Sunday you fabulous peeps! I came across this fabulous photo shoot while browsing through Tumblr as I often do...one needs inspiration on a daily basis you know. *wink* As soon as I saw it I just fell in love...how could you NOT love pretty pastels, lacy pretty robes, lingerie, fashion and pink & blue hair!? This photo shoot was done by photographer Nicoline Patricia Malina

Nicoline Patricia Malina was born in Surabaya, studied Fine Art in Utrecht, and currently shooting in Jakarta. Her photographic aesthetic is distinctive; rich colors and impeccable sense of details dominate the scene, combined with raw and cinematic black and white. From natural landscape to a tiny hotel rooms, she makes them all appear as if they are sets which have been specifically constructed for the shoot taking place. via her website.

You can see more of her work at her website.
I have a feeling I'll be featuring a lot more of her stunning imagery.

After looking at all these gorgeous pastel pretties it just makes me want to go nibble on something pretty and sugary, doesn't it? It reminds me of pretty pastel petite fours. Ooooh, soapy petite fours would be a fabulous little gift set to add to our pretty potions, don't you think? Well, there you go...instant inspiration! Sweet little tiny pastel green, pink, blue, soaps with pretty little frosting toppings with embellishments like dried fruit, star of anise, rose buds, pretty sugar flower toppings! What do you think...thumbs up, peeps?

If I was ever going to do a photo shoot I'd want it to be like this...so much FUN! Hope you enjoyed the pretty pics and if you know any photographers who you like let us know we'll check them out and maybe feature them up here. I'm always in the mood for some gorgeous eye candy. Till later dolls and dudes...kisses! *wink*
